The process was an exciting one as IUPUI created a new strategic enrollment plan in fall 2017 for the 2018 academic year (AY). As the action plans were implemented, it was rewarding to all the participants to begin to see results. From there, teams built expanded three-year plans for 2019-2021. A refresh of the plan and a new format was created during the fall 2020 semester, and the overall plan was extended to June 30, 2022. The refresh took into consideration the impact the Pandemic has on student enrollment. The process was highly collaborative, allowing voices from the Division to participate in the situational analysis, strategy brainstorming, and action plan development. Gratitude and appreciation are extended to everyone who participated in the working groups, action plan task forces and the Enrollment Management Advisory Council. The dedication and commitment of time and energy for the project from this group of individuals resulted in meaningful enrollment planning to launch IUPUI into the future.
This strategic initiative would not be possible without the ongoing support of Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar Ph. D., Executive Vice Chancellor, Kathy Johnson Ph. D, and Senior Advisor to the Chancellor for Planning and Institutional Improvement, Stephen Hundley Ph. D. Their leadership and guidance along the way continue to be invaluable.
IUPUI has a bright future! Strategic enrollment planning will now be a continual part of our strategic thinking and planning for many years to come.
