About

As the Interim Director of the Office for Veterans and Military Personnel, Tyler Cason oversees all responsibilities of the OVMP. He is responsible for ensuring the OVMP maintains compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations while navigating changes to VA and DOD policy that affect our military-affiliated students and university processes. The Office for Veterans and Military Personnel team supports military-affiliated students at IUPUI, IUFW, and IUPUC. 

The OVMP supports student success from admission through graduation by providing education related to a student’s military education benefits, processing all necessary documentation to facilitate those benefits, and connecting students to valuable federal, state, and local resources. Tyler strives to maintain excellent collaborative partnerships with other departments within the Division of Enrollment Management and throughout the IU system to enable his team to achieve their student-oriented mission.
