About

As the Director of Military-Connected Student Services, Tyler Cason oversees all responsibilities of the office of Military-Connected Student Services. He is responsible for ensuring the office maintains compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations while navigating changes to VA and DOD policy that affect our military-affiliated students and university processes. The Military-Connected Student Services team supports military-affiliated students at IU Indianapolis, IUFW, and IU Columbus. 

Military-Connected Student Services supports student success from inception through graduation by providing education related to a student’s military education benefits, processing all necessary documentation to facilitate those benefits, and connecting students to valuable federal, state, and local resources. Tyler strives to maintain excellent collaborative partnerships with other departments within the Division of Enrollment Management and throughout the IU system to enable his team to achieve their student-oriented mission.
